Currently, our website does not use active web forms. We collect information in the following ways:

Direct Contact: When you click our "Contact Us" link, you are sending an email directly to our team. We receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message.
Registration & Sponsorship: We currently provide PDF forms for download. Information provided on these forms (names, addresses, church affiliation, etc.) is processed by our Board of Directors.
Walk Participation: During our 72-hour weekends, we may collect information regarding your interest in future service or sponsorship through face-to-face conversations and paper interest sheets.
Cookies & Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website. This involves the use of "cookies" to collect anonymous traffic data, such as which pages are visited most frequently.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to facilitate the Walk to Emmaus experience and keep our community connected:

Communication: We use Mailchimp to send community email blasts and marketing regarding upcoming walks and events. You may opt-out of these communications at any time.
Weekend Operations: Information is used to organize Walks, assign teams, and ensure the safety and spiritual care of Pilgrims.
Prayer Support: To protect the privacy of our Pilgrims, we only share a Pilgrim’s first name and the first initial of their last name via email when requesting community prayer. Full names are never posted publicly on our website.

3. Access and Storage

We maintain strict controls over who can see your data:

Board of Directors: Have access to the full community database stored securely within Google Workspace.
Weekend Directors: The Lay Director and Spiritual Director of a specific weekend are granted access only to the information relevant to their particular Walk.
No Third-Party Selling: We do not sell your data. We do not share individual names with The Upper Room; we only report aggregate statistics (such as total attendance numbers).

4. Payments

Financial transactions are not processed directly on our website. Payments are handled via check or through the Realm Connect platform. Please refer to Realm’s privacy policy for details on how they secure your financial data.

5. Your Rights

You may request to see the information we have on file for you, or ask to be removed from our Mailchimp mailing list at any time by contacting us through the link provided on our homepage.
