Our Commitment to Accessibility

At Minnesota Walk to Emmaus, we believe that God’s grace is for everyone. We are committed to ensuring that our community, our digital resources, and our retreat weekends are accessible to all individuals, regardless of physical ability or technical requirements.

Our Retreat Experience

We are blessed to host our Men’s Walk at the Lakeview Methodist Healthcare Center. Because this facility is a dedicated healthcare environment, it is fully ADA-compliant and designed with accessibility as a priority.

  • Mobility: All meeting rooms, sleeping quarters, and dining areas are wheelchair accessible with elevators and ramps where needed.

  • Facilities: Restrooms and showers are equipped for those with limited mobility.

  • Support: Our background teams are always available to assist with any specific physical needs to ensure you can focus entirely on your spiritual journey.

Our Digital Community

We strive to make our website accessible to the widest possible audience. We are actively working to increase the usability of our site by following many of the available standards and guidelines, including:

  • Clear Navigation: Designing a logical layout that is easy to follow with screen readers.

  • Visual Clarity: Using high-contrast colors (like our blue and gray palette) and legible fonts to assist those with visual impairments.

  • Alt-Text: Providing descriptive text for our icons and images so the content is meaningful to everyone.

Let Us Support You

If you have specific questions about accessibility, or if you encounter any barriers on our website or during a weekend, we want to hear from you. We are happy to make accommodations to ensure your "Yes" to God is not hindered by physical or digital obstacles.

Growing leaders for the local church.
